Why Mums Need a Mummy MOT
We know that the first few months after giving birth can be a whirlwind of emotions, changes, and challenges. We also know that you want to get back on track with your fitness goals and life! That's why we created the Mummy MOT.
The Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal examination for women following both vaginal (at 6 weeks) and C-section (at 8 weeks) deliveries. The Mummy MOT will assess how your posture, pelvic floor muscles, and stomach muscles (tummy gap) are recovering after childbirth and offer an internal examination should you wish.
Your appointment is 1 hour and during this time you will also have time to talk about any issues you may be unsure of, be it prolapse, pelvic girdle pain, or perineal tears —we are here to listen, offer advice, or referrals if needed.
After your assessment, the Mummy MOT practitioner will provide you with gentle exercises and treatment to help with your recovery—we want to get you back on track with your fitness goals – The Mummy MOT wants strong mums.
